Isla's First Week

Isla was one week old yesterday and we have had a great week so far. It seems like we have had her forever, but also cant believe she is already more than a week old. We have been so lucky to have my mom and dad here all week helping us with her and the cooking, cleaning and just being here for us. Thank you! Let's see...what have we been up to this week. Isla has been opening her eyes more and more each day, which we love because she just looks so different with her eyes open and closed. She has LOTS of different faces that she makes from happy to sad to mad (she HATES to have her clothes changed) and the other day when she smiled we saw she had adorable dimples!! How cute!

Grandma and I also gave her her first bath at home today too. Everything went great, but again, she hates to be naked, but loves to be cuddled afterwards. Today, we also ventured outside and took Isla on her very first shopping trip to Old Navy. WOW...it sure takes a Long time to get her in her carseat, get the stroller in trunk, pack bags and get everything all together just for a short trip to the store!! It was worth it and I am sure she will love shopping in the future.

Isla has also been doing very well sleeping and eating. She eats about every 2 hours and sleeps alot during the days. At night, she does pretty well sleeping for about 2 hours, then she gets up to eat, then back to sleep. We are usually up by 7am for good, then we watch the Today Show together and take many naps during the day. Daddy is a SUPER Diaper changer (which I love) and has become a pro at it.

All in all, we are doing GREAT!
