2 Months!!

Wow! So I have been a MAJOR slacker on the blogging lately! There just doesnt seem there is enough time in the day to do everything, especially since I have been back to work. So, for some updates..Isla turned 2 months on March 28th and is getting to be such a big girl! Her 2 month appointment was on April 1 and she weighed 10.3lbs and is 23 inches long. That is the 79th % for height; thank goodness she didnt get my genes for that. I have to wear 4inch heels just to feel normal :)

Isla now smiles all the time and makes all sorts of noises. She defintely knows us now and reacts to our voices and smiles and "talks" back to us. Shr still hates tummy time, so we havent practiced rolling over very much lately, but it will come on its own I am sure.



Last Sunday we celebrated Easter at Oma and Opa's house and had a nice dinner. Isla loved her bunny ears! I also got to finally put her in the outfit I bought at BabyGap way back in January! It looked so cute, but was still just a little big, but that's ok...she can wear it all Spring! All in all, we are doing very well!!

Bathtime!!

This morning we gave Isla a bath and she has done a complete 180 with regards to bathtime. She loves them now!! If anyone remembers...she wasnt too fond of baths a little while ago...red faced and screams of bloody murder! Now though, she likes to kick her feet around in the water and I think she actually smiled today :)
Isla also spent the night at Oma and Opa's and mom and dad enjoyed a little sleepytime last night. It was great! We had a really nice time at a friend's 30th birthday party and Isla got to have a sleepover. Oma said she was "perfect" and slept 6 straight hours!! Maybe she should spend the night more often..hahaha!!

Time is Flying!

I cannot believe that Isla turned one month old on Sunday! Time is sure flying by! Isla also had her one month check up yesterday and she did GREAT! I was so curious to see how weight she gained and was so happy. She left the hospital at 6 lbs, 4 oz and yesterday she weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz! What a little chunkey monkey! Everything else went really well...I am just dreading her 2 month check up when she has to get shots :( I will not enjoy that day :(

We also went on a long walk today b/c the sun fianlly decided to come out and play. We went all along First Beach and saw all the seagulls and the pretty water and up Memorial Blvd, then vistited Daddy at work. It was a great time and I got some exercise! I have to get these preggo pounds off asap! Anything I can do before I am cleared to really exercise is a plus! Here is a picture of Isla when we stopped at Cliff Walk so she could see the water. I cannot wait until the weather is better, so we can go on more walks and have fun at the beach!

An alien kidnapped my child!

I dont know if an alien came and switched babies with me or she is playing mind games on me, but last night Isla slept through the whole night!!! She fell asleep at 11pm and woke up at 7am!! This is unbelievable! I dont want to jinx it, but I hope this isnt a one time thing for us :)

HALLELUJAH!!!

I had a horrible sleep Wednesday nite. Isla was very fussy and woke up pretty much every hour and at 3am we went and tried to get some sleep in the living room. She was super cranky all day and only stopped crying when she was eating. We are thinking this may be her 4 week growth spurt. Pat came over last nite to say hi and give us a little relief and must have put a magical spell on her because last nite, she went to bed at 10pm, woke up once at 2am to eat, then we all slept until 6:30am!!! What a great nite of sleep..I feel so refreshed!! Let's keep this going honeybee!!
